Associated Wholesale Grocers (AWG) and ShipComm Portal program in conjunction with RedPrairie
November 21, 2005 - Shippers Commonwealth ("ShipComm") will be providing its Web-based Logistics Portal, which handles shipment routing requests and notices for inbounds, outbounds, and returns, to Associated Wholesale Grocers (AWG), as part of the new RedPrairie TMS program launch for AWG. AWG is the second largest retailer owned grocery wholesaler in North America, with sales over $5.1B as serving both U.S. and Canada.
The ShipComm Logistics Portal is fully integrated to the RedPrairie TMS for rapid deployment as an enhanced transportation network gateway for handling supplier inbounds, reverse logistics, and satellite location outbounds.
RedPrairie has signed a supplementary agreement with ShipComm in September 2005, where RedPrairie can also serve as value-added reseller of the ShipComm Logistics Portal technology for its clients, while the Portal will also continue to be available direct from ShipComm. Under this agreement, RedPrairie can private label or OEM the ShipComm Logistics Portal to its authorized clients under license from ShipComm.
