Shippers Commonwealth to Power LTL Carrier Management System Program for Safelite
December 3, 2004 - Shippers Commonwealth has been selected by OMC Logistics (business unit of Overnite Transportation) to provide the TMS program including the Shippers Commonwealth Vendor Logistics Portal to power the new automated shipment management and visibility program for Safelite. Safelite, based in Columbus, OH, is the leading provider of auto glass for repair and replacement market. Safelite vendors, sites, and carriers will utilize the Shippers Commonwealth TMS and Portal programs for inbound and outbound movements, with visibility provided for Safelite management via the TMS. OMC will use this TMS to provide LTL carrier management for Safelite, managing multiple LTL carriers and movements for the company.
