ShipComm Corporate Update Report: Y/E 2009
December 23, 2009 - Charleston SC: Shippers Commonwealth ("ShipComm"), the leader in collaborative logistics systems, has completed another record year in sales and earnings growth during 2009. Our client base, trading partner network, and offering suite continued their ongoing expansion during the last twelve (12) months, as positioning the Company for further growth in its served markets in the year ahead.
We are also pleased to have documented further customer success stories in significant freight cost savings, productivity improvement, and increased competitive advantage as powered by the ShipComm transportation automation programs. We continue to be proud of the company we keep, with ongoing collaboration among our unique and growing community of shippers.
In addition to record sales and profitability during 2009, the Company continued to expand its resources as supported by strong balance sheet and elite team of transportation automation experts serving our clients.
In planned purchases from October 2009 through February 2010, Caravan Network LLC (the parent company of ShipComm, as wholly owned and controlled by the ShipComm CEO/Founder) acquired all of the remaining contingent minority equity rights in the Company. Through these redemptions, Caravan now owns 100% of the equity of ShipComm and all voting rights.
Our 2009 data center expansion (with full virtualization in state-of-the-art high availability environment) augments the best in service for our large transaction base of mission-critical shipments being processed by our TMS and Analytics programs.
The Company projects continuing significant growth in the year ahead, with very strong pipeline, new awards, and increasing solution programs for existing customers and new clients.
